The main goal of "Geological Hazards and Disaster Mitigation Working Group" is developing the GEO grid-based methodologies for geological hazards and disaster mitigation applications such as earthquake, volcano, landslide, tsunami, flood, subsidence, etc. The integration of multi-sensors remotely sensed databases and the relevant geological, ground truth dataset is the focus of development. The working group also aims at fostering the collaborations with various regional, national, and international partners involved in research and development on geology-related and disaster mitigation issues.
